Regatta Samui 2012: May 28th - June 2nd
Getting close to the action.
One of the great things about the Sawadee.com Regatta Samui is for anyone on the island to have the chance to get so close to the action.
Here are the top 5 ways you can get involved if you are not actually sailing.
5. Webcam. If you're not on the island or you are on the island but have to work (or are too lazy to leave the house), then every morning and afternoon you can watch the loading/unloading of the boats as the crews ready their boats and head off or return from the days racing. You can also follow some of the action at Mapmytracks.com
4. Chaweng Beach. If you are on Chaweng Beach then make your way down south to the Centara Grand Beach Resort and watch the crews in real life. You can also stop for a beer at Centara, Tradewinds or Seascape or any of our other partner hotels on the beach and watch some of the action from there.
3. Nikki Beach. On Wednesday 3rd we have a Public Party at Nikki Beach. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join over 300 sailors and all of our partners on the island as the World famous Nikki Beach show Samui how to party. (Nikki Beach has just finished one of the main parties at Cannes - expect the best).
Open to all from 7pm
2. Seven Seas Party. On Friday 5th we have the official Sawadee.com Regatta After Party from 9pm on the beach next door to Arc Bar. Again this is open to everyone and will be going off!!! International DJ Dean Lambert will be spinning the latest tunes, we will have the full Arc Bar sound system and full on lighting and lasers. Rub shoulders with the crews as they lay their best dance moves on the beach. Don't miss it.
And
1. Spectator Boat. Tickets for this fantastic spectator boat are available at many hotels or by calling Joe on 087 3805 742 or K.Amm on 081 7147 479. However, they are going fast so book now.
In airconditioned comfort you can go out and watch the exciting start of the race whilst drinking free beer and enjoying a sumptuous lunch. This is the best way to enjoy all the excitement of the race up close. Don't miss out!
