Oh please piss off. Where were you when we were sailing in regular 12 knots gusting 15 on Monday and then today a great 12 knot N.E.. breeze gusting through the Phangan/Samui passage on Tuesday ? These are dream sailing conditions !

Fresh water is available from the tap located at the beach steps at the entrance to Tradewinds.Ice can be ordered the evening before and will be delivered daily at 8am to Tradewinds. Price is Baht 50 per sack.See More

And stunning views this morning from the web cam, looks beautiful. Office bound sailors the world over will be able to watch the fleet arrive.

Xena just arrived from Hong Kong this morning. She is an X55 and is a surprise entry as she is not yet listed on the Entry List so there may be more boats coming than expected.Meanwhile the Sawadee Live Cam has been re positioned to view the boats at anchor and before anyone calls me about the Macgregor 26 shitbox out front, I'm having it moved from camera view.See More

Lay day
Good news for the hungry ! On the Lay day after the Juniors prizegiving at 4pm. Tradewinds will lay on their traditional BBQ and two kegs of beer to all crews. This year Stephano form Attica Locanda will join us with his pizzas, lasagnas and other Italian specials, plus Sangrias !

Good Samaritans
The swish 4.8 m. RIB donated to Samui's Juniors by Charlie Dwyer is now up and running as of today. Special thanks to the Phuket guys who helped make this possible, when most of their staff had disappeared for Songkran holidays. Once they knew it was a boat donated for the Samui Juniors, they pulled out all the stops to get the boat prepared. Late arrivals
Australian Maid arrived last night and wasn't sure of the regatta anchorage so as in the years past Tradewinds has now the green flashing strobe hoisted out front. Another new unexpected arrival is the 38 foot Bavaria Knot@work which has been cruising the S.A. Asian area for the past few years with her owners, the husband and wife team of Greg and his wife Lever. They intend entering Cruising Class which now must be the biggest class in the regatta.
